Tullibardine 15 Year
Tullibardine sits at a location in the Highlands that hearkens a proud history of brewing and distilling – legal and illegal – back to the 15th century. The distillery itself was founded in 1949 and sources its water from the Danny Burn, originating in the nearby Ochil Hills. The Tullibardine 15 was distilled in the first years after the distillery resumed production in 2003 after closing in 1995. It is now independently owned.
Glen Scotia 10 Year Peated
Campbeltown may be the smallest whisky-producing region in Scotland now but in the Victorian era, it was the whisky capital of Scotland, with over 30 distilleries in 1835. One of them was Glen Scotia. We certainly appreciate the regions’ rich heritage and tasty drams that give you a hint of the sea. Glen Scotia 10 Peated was released in 2018. The distillery offers a range of peated offerings (unpeated to heavily peated), with this offering seeming to be relatively standard edition. Colkegan Single Malt
Santa Fe Spirits was founded in 2010 by Englishman Colin Keegan. An architect by trade, Colin and his family built their home on an old apple orchard in the American Southwest in the early 90s. Colin decided to look at the Recession of 2008/09 as an opportunity and founded Santa Fe Spirits. After a decade and more in production, Santa Fe Spirits offer vodka, gin, apple brandy (from the orchards) and liqueurs. Their flagship product, however, is the Colkegan Single Malt. A portmanteau of the distillery’s founder, the Colkegan line uses local mesquite wood to dry a portion of the barley used in the whiskey, with other versions using various proofage and cask finishes.
